The Romneys Sunday, August 28, 2016 Livin' the Dream... When I was in elementary school, and someone would ask me the question, "What do you want to be when you grow up?", my answer was always "a teacher and a mom". As I got older, I kind of altered my dream, just a little, to "a teacher until I'm a mom" because I've always wanted to be a stay-at-home-mom when I had my own kids. Tonight it hit me that I'm totally doing both... and at the same time. I own my own preschool, and I get to teach every day, and yet I get to do it in my own home, where I get to be with my own kids all day as well. It's perfect. I'm totally living my childhood dream, and doing it even better than I dreamed as a kid. Life has been extremely frustrating, and hard, and almost never what I wanted or expected it to be, but if my elementary-age self could see me today, I think she'd be pretty happy.
