Our Crazy, Blessed Life Friday, June 10, 2016 Nammy - a tribute My nammy passed away last December. It's been an entire year, but it's taken me this long to be able to actually document anything. The pain is interesting. It's raw and constant, but it sits in my chest arm-in-arm with gratitude and peace. I miss her so much it physically hurts, but my heart is also so full of memories and love for all she gave me and I feel such peace knowing she's not in pain that I'm able to smile through my tears. Even now, a year later, when I think of her (which is all the time) my chest feels like it's under insurmountable weight and my head starts to swirl. I kind of lose my breath and my eyes instantly fill. The second I think of her my body feels actual pain and stress. I find it so interesting that something like loss, which is an emotion, can manifest itself into a form of physical pain. I hope that someday I'll be able to think of her with nothing but joy, but for now I'll live with the...
