And yet, an August Quinnipiac Poll found that 71 percent of respondents described the U.S. economy as not so good or poor, while just 3 percent said it was excellent. The pundits note a “contradiction” in the results – most of those asked to describe their own financial situation say it’s good or excellent, while “only” 38 percent said not so good or poor.
