According to Jesus, eating words is another one. “Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that comes from the mouth of God,” he said (Matt. 4:4). We prioritize eating meals every day. That’s good. We don’t always prioritize engaging with God’s word ever day. That’s not good. And it’s also a reason why so many Christians feel spiritually famished.
