Welcome to Kithrup, where ancient sophonts sing songs of loss and remorse. What kind of name is "Kithrup"? The name "Kithrup" comes from a David Brin story. This story was originally published in Analog as "The Tides of Kithrup"; it was later published in book form as Startide Rising, the second of Brin's books about the Uplift Universe.
