Dopo i mattoncini Lego, i mobili, le biciclette, gli esoscheletri per i disabili, le case (!) ora si possono stampare in 3D anche i vestiti. Merito del progetto open source “OpenKnit” messo a punto dal designer spagnolo Gerard Rubio, che ha messo a disposizione di tutti, gratuitamente, caratteristiche e specifiche tecniche della stampante. Per costruirla ci vogliono circa 550 euro, mentre il software che serve a disegnare in digitale e in 3D gli abiti è gratuito e si chiama Knitic. “ Vorrei che OpenKnit generasse entusiasmo tra i politici e i pensatori in modo che possano essere create più macchine; in questo modo la community potrebbe fiorire e il progetto potrebbe evolvere collettivamente e organicamente dal momento che ogni nuovo utente diventa uno sviluppatore.
