Με το που πήρα το σάκο από τον ιμάντα αποσκευών με πλησιάζουν δύο αστυνομικοί με πολιτικά. Έχεις να δηλώσεις τίποτα, με ρωτάνε, παρέλαβες κάποιο άγνωστο δώρο; Όχι απαντάω, όλα τα πράγματα είναι δικά μου. Πηγαίνουμε σε ένα δωμάτιο όπου βρίσκονται άλλα τρία άτομα και μου ζητάνε να ανοίξω τον σάκο. Φεύγοντας από τη Λίμα πήρα τρία κουτάκια με 25 φακελάκια τσαγιού από φύλλα κόκας (Mate de Coca) το καθένα. Το ένα κουτάκι κάπως κατάφερα να το στριμώξω, τα άλλα δύο στάθηκε αδύνατο και έτσι τα άνοιξα βάζοντας τα φακελάκια χύμα στο σακίδιο το οποίο και ξανάκλεισα με πολύ κόπο. Οπότε με το που ανοίγω τώρα το σακίδιο πετάγονται παντού τα φακελάκια το τσάι. Τι είναι αυτό με ρωτάνε, τσάι τους απαντάω. Μα εδώ γράφει κόκα μου λένε. Βεβαίως, τσάι από φύλλα κόκας απαντάω. Αυτά είναι ναρκωτικά...
