Adalah suatu sore, menjelang magrib di akhir Oktober 2013, ketika di jendela kamar terdengar suara ‘teriakan’ anak kucing. Saat ditengok, seekor anak kucing kurus kering berwarna merah api. Saking kurusnya, telinganya terlihat besar, mata belo besar, suara kencang.. Salah seorang keponakan, langsung mengambilnya. “Kasiaann, di luar dingin, mungkin anak kucing ini juga kelaparan,” katanya dengan sorot mata memelas. Dengan hati setengah-setangah (Setengah kasian, setengah lagi tidak mau merasa sakit lagi ketika ditinggal kucing), akhirnya aku pangku si kucing. Langsung dibawa ke wastafel dan memandikannya dengan air hangat. Anehnya si kucing langsung adem semua tindakan itu kulakukan. Matanya menatap...
