We found out at 30 weeks of pregnancy that she has Achondroplasia. We didn’t know what to expect and was very scared. My wife did a lot of research on the internet and we were well informed about our unborn daughter’s condition. The day she was born (25/6/2009) my wife was very scared and I must confess that I was nervous to. But all went well and she is beautiful. She was in ICU for her first 2 days because of some moisture on her lungs luckily that was not critical. After a week we returned to Ellisras (Lephalale) and started with more research (my wife). We have another daughter Mianke, she is 4 years old. She accepted he little sister from day one and helps us a lot.
