Saturday, May 7, 2011 Studying the Moon So I didn't plan it on purpose, but it turned out to be really neat that I planned our space unit in the month of March which was the same time as The Super Full Moon and the Vernal Equinox. You can visit NASA's site for more information on the Super Full Moon. On March 19th, the moon appears bigger and closer. The last Super Full Moon was in 1993. Some people believe it causes the Earth to have natural disasters, but according to NASA that is untrue. However, look at Japan. What do you think? Coincidence?
