Contact Writings Monday, November 6, 2023…knock, knock. keep listening to the latest Youth Lagoon record, Heaven Is A Junkyard. like it came out of some unknown place. is that what he had in mind? as if it exists in its own reality. who is playing that kind of music right now? moving and subtle and delicate. he has terrible fashion sense, but I love this record very much. it makes me disappointed in most everything else. which of course makes me want to copy it and see if I can’t catch the same feel which means it will never happen. I need to mix things up. on a different note, baptized a baby yesterday. he did well. I’ve done that for many people at this point and it always feels new and frightening. I will be the person who baptized them. there is some weight there. reading Mark Twain’s The Innocents Abroad and as you might expect, it is fantastic. sounds current and exciting. makes me want to travel. but my ankle hurts today and I can think of no reason that it should.
