The Vogels Pages Home About Us Wednesday, October 31, 2012 Canning Peaches!!  Levi's aunt brought me some peaches from yakima back in August...they were amazing!! I had to can them and the only time was after Levi went to basketball. We started at about 12:30 I blanched and he peeled and cut. He was such a good sport helping my friend couldn't make it over to help so I truly needed him :) It was my first time canning peaches without any help from someone with experience. We had fun and after the first batch he went to bed and I did the second one by myself. Levi went back to Yakima a month or so later and brought another box home, they weren't as good as the first box but they are still good and I canned those as well and we enjoyed some peach cobbler too. The pie above was a blackberry nectarine pie...YUM!  I oogled at these on the counter for a few days they were so pretty!
