I was unfortunately put on steroids, which is only used in severe cases. If you’ve heard anything about steroids/prednisone or have been on them yourself, you already know how bad they suck. My doctor will only use steroids sparingly, which is good. There are so many people who have to take extremely high doses of steroids for months-years in order to keep their flares in complete remission. I’m praying that isn’t the case for me and will only have to take them for a few weeks to try to keep my flare at bay. The side effects are a bitch.
