Patung Bunda Maria dan beberapa patung lain di rusak di kompleks peziarahan Gua Maria Sendang Pawitra Sinar Surya di Tawangmangu, Solo. Beberapa bagian seperti kepala dan bagian-bagian lain, hilang entah di mana. Aku yakin, mereka yang menganut Katolik seperti aku pasti mempunyai reaksi berbeda. Macam-macamlah. Sebutkan saja kata kerja dengan tanda serunya. Semuanya pasti bermuara pada rasa terhina. Aku pribadi juga merasa terhina dengan hal yang biasa terjadi pada manusia ini. Manusia yang hidup. Yang hidup saja bisa tak ada harganya oleh manusia lain, apalagi terhadap patung. Patung lho. Aku tidak menyayangkan patung-patung yang rusak itu.
