Tulisan ini dipublikasikan pertama kali di harian Bernas edisi 2 Juni 2016. Baru-baru ini, pemerintah telah mencanangkan Gerakan Literasi Sekolah. Dalam Gerakan Literasi Sekolah tersebut, salah satu program yang diagendakan adalah siswa diwajibkan membaca buku nonpelajaran 15 menit sebelum kegiatan belajar mengajar. Dengan demikian, diharapkan siswa senang membaca sehingga budaya literasi terwujud. Akan tetapi, menanamkan budaya literasi kepada siswa, yang notabene anak-anak tidaklah segampang membalik telapak tangan.
