Mi sembrava tutto così scontato, che il fatto di andare al mare tutti i giorni e non fare niente per qualche mese non mi pareva così una gran cosa. L'estate così si poteva definire ben riuscita quando avevo conosciuto gente, quando mi ero abbronzata ben bene, quando avevo tinto i capelli di un bel colore, quando ero stata brava al saggio estivo di musica e quando i miei amici citofonavano a casa tante volte per uscire, e io scendevo ogni sera coi capelli bagnati e elaborate architetture di eyeliner sulle palpebre.
