Day temperatures can touch 50 Degree Celsius around 3 pm. The dry heat coupled with the equally dry breeze, called loo, can dehydrate one’s body in no time – and it was on these days that we visited Ranthambhore. Peak summer can be the best time to see tigers as the heat forces them to come to the watering holes more often and scant foliage provides a better sight into areas, which during other times of the year are hidden by lush green bushes and tall grass, where tigers take rest and nap.
