I think I found a fix. Turn off Adaptive Connectivity. Details in this Reddit post the text of which I will duplicate below. But first, a rant. This is a supremely irritating kind of problem that shows how frustrating the modern tech support experience is. There was no realistic way to get helpful info from Google about what this bug might be or how to fix it. I don’t know if there’s even any real personalized support path at all, if there is one I assume it’s the usual “turn it off and on again” useless response.
