It is a quiet Sunday afternoon with brilliant sunshine in an azure sky. The sun is beginning to melt some of the ice and snow and bits of brown grass are showing through. The brown grass and bare tree branches are a reminder of the dormancy of the earth in its winter slumber. Passing the empty sport fields devoid of cheering fans, the crack of baseball bats, and kicks of soccer balls I see the bleachers all stacked together with soccer nets and goal posts awaiting the beginning of spring sports.
