Μα δεν ήρθε. Ούτε την άλλη μέρα , ούτε την παράλλη. Σταμάτησε απ’ το σχολείο. Την πήρε η μάνα της στο υφαντήριο. Την τρίτη μέρα, κοιτάζοντας ο Νίκος το κλειστό παράθυρο της κάμαράς της είπε «Θα μπαρκάρω». Έτσι αρχίζει αυτό το παραμύθι. Με δύο καπρίτσια. Ένα της μάνας της και ένα του Νίκου. Περνούσαν οι μέρες, άλλες φορές πολλές μαζί σαν συγχορδίες και άλλες μία μία σαν νότες κλίμακας μονότονης. Νέα από τον Νίκο δεν είχαμε.
