At that time there were 3 local senior police officers who used the gliding club and I reported my concerns to them. Their reaction was to spend even more time at the gliding club, flying around in gliders, claiming that they were “keeping an eye on Albert”. A local youth worker had approached me and told me that boys had claimed that Albert abused them. He took me to meet some of the boys but they (understandably) were reluctant to talk about what had happened to them.
