Piotr Dollar piotr dollár brief bio publications research cv github toolbox brief bio Piotr Dollar is a research director at Facebook AI Research ( FAIR ) since 2014 with a focus on deep learning and computer vision. Piotr received his PhD from UCSD in 2007 followed by a postdoc at Caltech in 2012. After this, and prior to seeing the deep learning light, Piotr helped cofound Anchovi Labs (acquired by Dropbox in 2012) and then spent some years dabbling in shallow research at Microsoft Research (MSR). Current deeper interests include recognition, grouping, network design, and self-supervised learning.
