After all these years, it’s getting a facelift. It stands shrouded in anticipation. The veil of construction dust and scaffolding conceals its past, promising a fresh beginning. He remembers living there on the second floor when they first arrived in this country. So much memories wrap around its weathered bricks and windows. Its walls bear silent witness to their hopes and struggles to survive.
