În faţa adunării aceleia erau parcate zeci de maşini personale cu care veniseră cei ce cântau şi predicau acum în adunarea aceea foarte lăudată şi mare. Eu aşteptam pe cineva care trebuia să iasă şi, pentru a nu încurca ieşirea, trecusem de cealaltă parte a străzii şi mă uitam, că trebuia să iasă şi trebuia să-l văd pe cel care va ieşi. Dar la uşa bisericii acesteia stătea cu pălăria în mână un bătrân orb. Tremura, că era îmbrăcat subţire şi aştepta de mult. Lângă el, un băiat ’năltuţ şi slab, îmbrăcat numai...
