Immaginate un viale di ciliegi in fiore, con i rami affollati di gemme e la strada che fa da materasso a qualche petalo sfuggito via; d’un tratto arriva correndo un soffio di vento che li spettina, li mischia, li fa volare in giro, creando un turbinio di colori intonati: questo è ciò che riescono a fare i Soil and the Pimp Sessions con le note musicali. Un gruppo che ho scoperto casulamente dal vivo durante un Arezzo Wave, che mi ha fulminato dal primo momento e che ho avuto la fortuna di poter rivedere lo scorso giovedì 15 aprile al Blue Note di Milano. Travolgenti a dismisura, hanno fatto ballare il pubblico (una sessantina di persone, di cui una decina giapponesi) con il loro ritmo mozzafiato e la loro capacità di trascinarti con loro nella frenesia dell’improvvisazione jazz.
