They deserve to be well dressed, their beauty offered to enrich the fabric of the world. They hold themselves like something rare and breakable. On the other hand, I realized, I hold myself rather differently. Like a tennis ball, perhaps. A tennis ball that is used to play catch with a rather slobbery dog. I’m utilitarian and I get things done, but I do not hold myself with any care – rather, I hold myself as if I am ready to run.
