Ero bimbo quando gli Alleati giravano per Genova dopo aver combattuto contro i Nazisti. Ricordo le AM-Lire che fecero schizzare l’inflazione e che per la prima volta vidi alcuni militari con la pelle nera… non ne avevo mai visto. Avevo visto sì le illustrazioni del regime con gli abitanti delle nostre Colonie… di pelle scura. Crebbe in me la convinzione che gli Alleati, Americani e Britannici ci avessero fornito la pace… che fino a quel momento non sapevo cosa concretamente fosse… ero abituato alla guerra.
