राग दरबारी राग दरबारी जानेमाने साहित्यकार श्रीलाल शुक्ल की रचना "राग-दरबारी" समकालीन साहित्य में एक मील का पत्थर है जिसके लिये उन्हें 1968 में साहित्य अकादमी पुरस्कार भी मिला। Thursday, January 18, 2007 13. वह एक प्रेम पत्र था तहसील का मुख्यालय होने के बावजूद शिवपालगंज इतना बड़ा गाँव न था कि उसे टाउन एरिया होने का हक मिलता। शिवपालगंज में एक गाँव सभा थी और गाँववाले उसे गाँव-सभा ही बनाये रखना चाहते थे ताकि उन्हें टाउन-एरियावाली दर से ज़्यादा टेक्स न देना पड़े। इस गाँव सभा के प्रधान रामाधीन भीखमखेड़वी के भाई थे जिनकी सबसे बड़ी सुन्दरता यह थी कि वे इतने साल प्रधान रह चुकने के बावजूद न तो पागलख़ाने गये थे, न जेलख़ाने। गँजहों में वे अपनी मूर्खता के लिए प्रसिद्ध थे और उसी कारण, प्रधान बनने के पहले तक, वें सर्वप्रिय थे। बाहर से अफ़सरों के आने पर गाँववाले उनकों एक प्रकार से तश्तरी रखकर उनके सामने पेश करते थे। और कभी-कभी कह भी देते थे कि साहेब, शहर में जो लोग चुनकर जाते हैं उन्हें तो तुमने हज़ार बार देखा होगा, अब एक बार यहाँ का भी माल देखते जाओ। गाँव-सभा के चुनाव जनवरी के महिने में होने थ...
