Δευτέρα, Αυγούστου 11, 2008 Αποτέφρωση Νεκρών Κατατέθηκε επιτέλους το προεδρικό διάταγμα για την λειτουργία κέντρων αποτέφρωσης νεκρών. Υπεύθυνοι για τη δημιουργία του κάθε κέντρου θα είναι οι οργανισμοί τοπικής αυτοδιοίκησης κάθε περιφέρειας. Για την έκδοση της άδειας αποτέφρωσης θα είναι απαραίτητη η ρητή δήλωση του ατόμου –είτε γραπτά είτε μέσω των κοντινών συγγενών– ότι επιθυμούσε κάτι τέτοιο. Η τεφροδόχος, εκτός του ενταφιασμού θα μπορεί να φυλαχθεί σε ειδικούς χώρους ή να σκορπιστεί στη θάλασσα ή σε υπαίθριο χώρο εκτός κατοικημένης περιοχής. Δεν έλειψαν φυσικά τα αρνητικά σχόλια από μέλη της Εκκλησίας τα οποία αναφέρθηκαν σε μηδενισμό του ανθρώπου και πρακτικές που θυμίζουν Άουσβιτς.
