Monday, 10 March 2025 Unpacking the Book of Hebrews: Chapter 1 The Book of Hebrews was written between 60 and 70 C.E. during the Roman Emperor Nero’s persecution of the Church. The author is unknown but the inspiration behind it is unmistakably the Holy Spirit who always brings glory to Jesus! Some people think that the human author might have been Paul, but this doesn’t carry much weight as it is not written in his usual style.  But whoever wrote it was definitely writing under the power of the Holy Spirit, he was also a well educated person with a sound knowledge of the Mosaic Law and the Old Testament Prophets. In every one of Paul’s epistles, he starts off by identifying who the letter is written to, “To the church in….” and he also identifies himself as the writer of the letter. In other words, Paul has his particular style, the book of Hebrews is not started off like this and is not written in Paul's styl...
