Ringerike Drammen Districts Lag Drammen Hole Hurum Lier Modum Nedre Eiker Øvre Eiker Ringerike Røyken Welcome to the Ringerike-Drammen Districts Lag Website! We are what's called a bygdelag : basically a group (lag) of people that share the same ancestral areas in Norway. For R-DD our ancestors hail from one of nine kommuner (communities) in Buskerud Fylke (county): Ringerike, Modum, Øvre Eiker, Nedre Eiker, Hole, Drammen, Lier, Røyken and Hurum. For a complete list of cities in each Kommune click here or click on any of the Kommune names or coats-of-arms above to learn more about the area. In 1916 the Ringerike Bygdelag was formed so we celebrated our centennial in 2016. We hosted the annual Stevne (convention), printed a commemorative book and visited our ancestral home in Norway.
