Maggio 29, 2008 Difficile scrivere qualcosa su questo capolavoro di Ingmar Bergman, uscito nel 1956 e che secondo me costituisce una pietra miliare nella storia del cinema. Un film curato nei minimi dettagli, con una fotografia splendida, giocato molto sui contrasti luce-ombra, a simboleggiare i conflitti interiori dell’Uomo, le sue eterne domande destinate a rimanere senza risposta. Che senso ha la vita? Esiste Dio? Perchè siamo qua? Come potere vivere una vita dilaniata dai sensi di colpa, ben sapendo della drammatica transitorietà del tutto? Come sopravvivere ai propri conflitti interiori? Ambientato in un cupo quattordicesimo secolo svedese, divorato dalla paura e dalla superstizione, ripropone dei temi che per il loro spessore rimarranno sempre attuali.
