Bineinteles ca in anul acela rabdarea tuturor ajunsese pe buza prapastiei. Cozile la carti (ale lui Paunescu, Pamantul deocamdata, de exemplu, circulau pe sub mana, ca si Cel mai iubit dintre pamanteni a lui Preda), cozile umilitoare la vata, alimentele obtinute pe “sub mana”, burghezia rosie care se instapanise prin toate cartierele, programul la televiziune redus la 2 ore, parca, seara, program care se rezuma la prezentarea Celui mai iubit fiu al poporului, doua tabere Excelsior (tabere nationale de literatura) la care participasem, unde ii cunoscusem pe Bogdan Lefter, Mircea Nedelciu, Petre Cimpoesu, Mircea Cartarescu, scriitori care ne dezveli...
