Οι φωτογραφίες είναι από το Χαλέπι, μπροστά από το κάστρο του Χαλεπιού που απλωνόταν το παζάρι, για εμάς τους ταξιδιώτες, ήταν ένα ταξίδι στον χρόνο. Σαν την Ελλάδα του 50 που ποτέ δεν γνωρίσαμε. Χαμογελαστοί, πρόσχαροι, αμόλυντοι, αγνοί άνθρωποι τότε οι Σύριοι, ίσως ο πιο καλοσυνάτος λαός που έχουμε γνωρίσει. Πραγματικά θλίβομαι βλέποντας πόσο εύκολο είναι να επικρατήσει το μίσος σε μια ειρηνική κοινωνία.
