It’s an interesting read by a local reporter (Beau Yarbrough) based on interviews with professors in some of our local colleges (e.g. CSUN, The University of Redlands, Pierce College, L.A. Mission College, etc.). Yarbrough also reports on the recent survey about MOOCs (Massive Open Online Courses)  by The Chronicle of Higher Education. See links below.
