She ran into trouble with the law. She fought and the law won in the short term. But Robyn didn’t give up the struggle. She came out as a sex worker and formed a national group to fight for sex worker rights. Her organization SWOP USA has now become the nation's largest sex worker rights organization. Through her efforts, we are changing laws, and will end up winning. You hear the phrase “tireless activist,” all the time, but Robyn took it to a whole new level. She was diagnosed with cancer in 2007 and she has kept fighting for sex worker rights all the way through her treatment until she passed in September of 2012.
