At that time the different churches were singing songs from the early1900’s or from the revivals in the 1800’s. These were hymns and psalms about God or about our relationship with Him. The modern Church has only in the past 30 years begun to recapture the power of intimate worship before God as it seen in King David’s Tabernacle. Through that paradigm God has put new songs in the heart of the Church (Psalm 40:3). These are songs of love directed to God Himself, worshiping Him and exalting his name.
