We had a bank account and everything lined up ready to move to Portugal and COVID shut down the borders. Everything converged into a move to Schulenburg, Texas. It was a good place to ride out COVID. The country was a good place for our kids to make memories and roots for a good chunk of their childhood. The people are amazing and we love the community we have found and built. I worked at the local public school, Talia passed all of her college entrance exams in 8th grade and has been doing dual credit homeschool with her brothers and Zoe has been going to school with me.
