Amsterdam Subversive Center for Information Interchange (ASCII): RIP 1999 - 2006 Amsterdam Subversive Center for Information Interchange (ASCII) RIP 1999 - 2006 ASCII was one of the early hacklabs starting 1999 as an free internet workplace on the Herengracht 243a in Amsterdam. After moving through the Jodenbreestraat 24 , Kinkerstraat 92-94 , 2e Kostverlorenkade , Wibautstraat 7 and the Javastraat 38hs , we finally kicked the bucket and let go in 2006. ASCII might have died in 2006, but Squatting and Hacking goes on.
