Shwetha Rajaram Hi, I'm Shwetha! I'm a PhD candidate at the University of Michigan School of Information and a member of the Information Interaction Lab , advised by Dr. Michael Nebeling . I completed my undergrad in Computer Science & Engineering at the University of Michigan with a minor in Art & Design. Broadly, my research investigates how to enable novel interactions with emerging technologies, such as extended reality (XR) and generative AI, that are both beneficial and safe for end-users. In my latest work, I develop techniques to customize XR and AI-enabled interactions to balance diverse user needs in collaborative and public settings, e.g., leveraging AI image generation models to tailor video-conferencing environments to distributed collaborators’ meeting goals (explored with collaborators at Microsoft Research) .
