Λέκκα ιδρύθηκε το 1967 στην Κοιλάδα Αργολίδας και από τότε έως σήμερα λειτουργεί συνεχώς, έχοντας κατασκευάσει (χτίσει) περισσότερα από 400 σκάφη, βάρκες και καΐκια από 5 έως 30 μέτρα. Το Ναυπηγείο εκτείνεται σε ιδιόκτητο οικόπεδο επιφάνειας 2.750 τμ, εφαπτόμενο στη ζώνη του αιγιαλού, τμήμα της οποίας έχει μισθωθεί και χρησιμοποιείται για την αποθήκευση ξυλείας και για την καθέλκυση των σκαφών. Για τα πρώτα 20 έτη λειτουργίας οι περισσότεροι χώροι παραγωγής ήταν υπαίθριοι ενώ το 1987 πραγματοποιήθηκε κτιριακή επέκταση, έτσι προστέθηκαν 600 τμ στεγασμένου επαγγελματικού χώρου. Πρόκειται για παραδοσιακό Ναυπηγείο (ταρσανάς) το οποίο έχει κατασκευάσει έως σήμερα σχεδόν όλους τους τύπους των παραδοσιακών ξύλινων σκαριών (τρεχαντήρια, καραβόσκαρα, περάματα, βαρκαλάδες, libertyκα).
