Ty and Melissa Sleight Sunday, July 21, 2019 Camping in the Blue Mountains We left the heat of the valley and headed up towards Eastern Oregon. A friend of mine suggested checking out Joseph, Oregon. We wanted to get some good four wheeling in. However, we realized there's a lot of wilderness around Joseph so we called up the forest service and they suggested Umatilla National Forest. When we got to Baker's City we headed west towards the mountains. We found a pull off Northwest of Cabell City and got camp set up.  The next day we had breakfast and headed out on Packsaddle Trail and within 30 mins of navigating narrow trails I realized the steering wasn't steering. So I got out and checked the Wildcat. Sure enough the tire rod end was bent and the tires weren't tracking together. Ty was up ahead and within 2 minutes I had to stop as I knew what would happen next. After a quick prayer he came back to find me. We tried using the tow strap to straighten out the bend to no avail.
