Sunday, December 17, 2017 2017 Macs Midget WHL prospects The Macs Midget Tournament, which runs every year after Christmas in Calgary, has released their list of 25 teams attending this year's tournament. I've been putting together a list of the WHL prospects playing in the tournament for a number of years now, and here is this year's version. This year, by my count, there are 119 WHL prospects on the rosters of the teams invited, plus another 14 WHL prospects who are listed as affiliate players on those teams and so may or may not play in the tournament. There are four teams from outside the WHL recruiting territory (teams from Belarus and Hungary, plus ones from New York and North Carolina) who, unsurprisingly, have no listed WHLers. A fifth team, the Ontario Jr. Reign, are from California and therefore may have WHL prospects on their roster but I haven't been able to find a roster for them yet so ...
