Snake River Shadow | photographer Snake River Shadow photographer Skip to content Assignment # 9 Final Photo Portfolio Posted on December 15, 2014 by Paul D Rasmussen For our last  project in Advanced Photography, I wanted to photograph the Portneuf River. When I started this project it was geared toward the people who enjoy the many uses of the river. A lot of  people camp, fish, and hunt use this river year round. It runs through a lot of old lava flows so there are a lot of natural water falls and pools. The river has multiple groups working on a restoration project to restore it. The groups are fencing it with a wood pole fence to  keep livestock from trampling the banks so they can only water in certain areas. This makes better habitation for trout and lets the sportsmen have access as well. I talked to a rancher that had a sportsmen access, on the upper Blackfoot river, through his land. He said he was not going to do it again because people would not take car...
