But as autumn arrives it’s time I caught up with a couple of late summer trips. First these are my photos from a long walk around the RSPB Newport wetlands on a scorcher of a day in August. It was not a good day for waterfowl as it was so hot, but there were plenty of insects among the flowery hedgerows.
