Filed under: Culture , Food — Steve Ruis @ 12:43 pm Tags: bacon , beer , Ben Franklin Ben Franklin once said, “Beer is proof that God loves us and wants us to be happy.” A very wise man, Mr. Franklin. And I just had a scrap of bacon, from my partner’s platter she was fixing for her lunch (BLTs, yum!) and it tasted just so effing good. I have been eschewing bacon, mostly, as I am trying to lose some weight, and not so much because I think bacon makes us fat, it doesn’t, but that I need manifestations of me exhibiting willpower, and giving up things you don’t like isn’t much of a show.
