Plecand de la conceptul de libertate ( J.St.Mill – On Liberty, 1859) si de la separatia lui Eric Fromm si Isaiah Berlin, intre liberatea negativa si cea pozitiva, putem analiza corespunzator „situatia libertatii” pe care status quo-ul actual ne-o aduce in fata. O serie larga de probleme concrete, unele dintre acestea vizand legalitatea unor acte, iar altele reactia societatii fata de diverse optiuni personale/comportamente pot fi analizate prin prisma conceptului de libertate negativa.
