The Bburn Book Saturday, November 3, 2012 Christmas already on the brain… Last summer I found a fantastic idea on Pinterest, many of you may have already come across it…here’s the idea: have a journal for each child who can read and write and write letters back and forth with them. For example our children will write a note to either Charlie or myself, or sometimes addressed to both of us and leave the journal on our pillow for us to find. Then at our earliest convenience we will reply to them and leave it for them on their pillow to find and respond to. Sometimes we will go a month and they won’t reply, then when they are ready to write we will find the journals sitting on our pillows. It has been such a treat to hear from them and see what’s going on in their little growing minds. These journals are like gold!! It’s only Nov. 3rd and already they are starting the countdown to Christmas and apparently starting to write down their Christmas lists. I wanted to share...
