Nestling for delight skip to main | skip to sidebar Thursday, March 24, 2011 Lily for the Clearing # 2 Here is the second, which now graces the walls of treatment room #1.  They go very nicely with the light blue of the walls.  Posted by Nestling for Delight at 2:07 PM No comments: Monday, March 14, 2011 Lily for the Clearing-#1 This is a painting I did for my office; I believe in reality it is the 17th or 18th lily that I have painted.  It is similar in appearance to Lily # 3, which was the first painting that ever sold for more than $200.  As I was going to put it into my first business, I wanted to steal some of that good energy. And as with my third lily, I used only 4 colors of paint in creating it: White, orange, purple and green.  I feel limiting the palette can add to the cohesion of a painting and it's always a good exercise for me to darken paints with their triad rather than using brown or blue.  Posted by Nestling for Delight at 8:27 PM ...
