Looking back on the day, I wasn’t really that nervous, not that I did that much teaching, but had a general idea of what I wanted to accomplish. And looking further back to one of my earlier posts, I’m glad I didn’t have to starve myself of sleep to ease the nerves. I couldn’t be happier with how this prac is panning out. After this first day, I enjoy the school, get along superbly with my mentor so far (I feel from what I have seen we share the same view and attitude toward teaching – being easy to get along with while also having those boundaries in place, and also having a great relationship with his students), and finally the classes themselves all seem great and well behaved and varied, which should make things a breeze.
